You came in on a half-mile private drive. Past the end of it, the park sits in Cleveland County with Gaston County and Charlotte close by, so a week at Bull Run can be a week of day trips and still end every evening back among the trees.

Three miles of trails
Hiking and mountain bike trails run through the hardwoods. They are open now, and they start close enough to the sites that you can walk out your own door.
The one-acre pond
A spring-fed pond with a covered dock. Fishing opens later, and the park will post an update when it does, so treat it as something to look forward to on a return stay.
The half-mile drive itself
